Ryen Robinson, CRP
My name is Ryen Robinson, and I am a Senior Legal Assistant with an ABA-accredited Legal Studies Certificate from the College of Lake County in Illinois. I have completed several semester-long courses such as legal research and writing, civil and criminal litigation, legal technology courses, and drafting legal documents. On April 22, 2025, I completed the Paralegal Core Competency Exam and obtained the CRP credential.
I am seeking a legal support role that specializes in legal compliance and the release of confidential information, with a long-term aim of contributing to a local government agency or a non-profit healthcare institution in Illinois. I am committed to supporting the public and providing quality service for victims of fraud, forgery, and identity theft.
In 2020, I began working at the Circuit Clerk’s Office recording court minutes as well as entering court orders for criminal and civil courtrooms alongside a variety of judges. After three years in that role, I worked for a private litigation firm in Grayslake as a Litigation Legal Assistant. There, I focused on trial preparation and filing pleadings and zoning applications for commercial clients. I often prepared and circulated subpoenas to obtain records or for depositions. My current role at the Lake County State’s Attorney Office is to support other legal assistants, prosecutors, victims, witnesses, investigators, and local enforcement by ensuring that I accurately maintain our records, case notes, and evidence.
As someone who has experience in both public service and private practice, I have a profound appreciation and interest for the law and how it operates. I consistently strive to be a highly specialized and efficient asset to any team that I work with. I hope to provide a substantial step towards restorative justice and the proper maintenance of confidential information.
